The former Bruno Pizza space is for rent on 13th Street

The retail space at 204 E. 13th St. just east of Third Avenue is now on the market...

The asking monthly rent for the space — 1,300 square feet on the ground floor, with another 1,300 in the basement — is $12,950, per the listing.

The previous tenant here, Bruno Pizza, never reopened after an early morning fire broke out in the top-floor apartment last November. The fire caused extensive water damage to the pizzeria, which first opened in July 2015.

Sharon's Laundry Service was in the space before its restaurant conversion via landlord Steve Croman.

Bruno’s enjoyed an incredible amount of PR and buzz for clever interior design and completely abominable food

It's maybe obvious to most people but please consider who the landlord is & the absolute nonsense that the last tenant had to put up with in needing repairs to the space drawn-out before even thinking of looking at this retail space. You are setting yourself up to fail by moving in here.

A pizza place is opening on the same block, same side of street, closer to Second Ave called old fashion pizza...the awning is up.

@Anonynmous (10:52 AM) "completely abominable food"? Did you ever actually eat there? The food was good. I enjoyed it, as did everyone I ever ate there with. It might not have been to your taste, but to call it abominable is ridiculous and churlish.

Anyone who leases this space, esp. knowing who the landlord is, deserves to lose their money. This space should sit empty for a million years.

I ate there once. The food was very good. It is a shame the owners of Bruno Pizza hadn't done their research on the landlord before renting there.
