And Hitchcocktober returns to 12th Street and Second Avenue!
To be clear... this particular warning for NYC is the second time we've ever issued a Flash Flood Emergency (It's the first one for NYC). The first time we've issued a Flash Flood Emergency was for Northeast New Jersey a an hour ago. https://t.co/7k55jeXbpb

Notify NYC sent out a tornado warning for Manhattan around 9pm and said to take shelter. I don't remember that ever happening before.
We didn't get any Tornado Warning text, but like half a dozen Flood Emergency ones, which is a first for the city.
I was waiting for the M8 home when the hurricane broke, and the bus seemed to take forever to arrive. Naturally I was drenched by the time I got home; I wasn't able to retrieve any alerts from my phone at all.
