The line for the first day of Octoberfest at Zum Schneider

Octoberfest starts today at Zum Schneider on Avenue C and East Seventh Street ... doors open in a sec at 11:30 ... four people were waiting at 10 a.m. ... and soon enough...

...and the schedule...

If you can't get in here, then you could always try Zum Schneider Montauk on Oct. 19-21.

But it's not October yet, I'm confused.

My parents have lived in Montauk since 1977. The changes out there over the past few years are similar to the changes the East Village/LES has been experiencing (though for a longer period of time, no doubt). So that East Village/LES restauranteurs are opening restaurants (e.g. Fat Radish, Momofuku) in Montauk, I guess should come as no surprise

Look at all the sheeple!

I'm not sure why one would need to wait on line to drink beer. These people are baffling. Feel bad for the people who live around there.

Fucking sheep.

let people do stupid things. as long as they cause no harm, who cares? judging only makes you sound small minded.

small business benefits from this. and i believe (correct me if i am strong, please) but this bar has had a pretty clean noise record over the years.

Oktoberfest starts in September not October. Why are you all so mad about everything all of the time? Zum Schneider having festivities hardly seems to be one of the more worthy EV causes to spout fire and brimstone over.

"Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded."
