Liquiteria coming soon to former Blimpie space on 4th Avenue

The quickly expanding Liquiteria mini-chain announced several new locations around the city in January … including one at Fourth Avenue and East 13th Street.

The plywood is down now at the former Blimpie space on the northeast corner of Fourth Avenue and East 13th Street … revealing the Liquiteria signage.

No word just yet on an opening date. Liquiteria's flagship store is on Second Avenue at East 11th Street.

What happens when they juice fad is over? At least acai bowls are always in style! More highfalutin crap tho.

If they can puree a BLIMPIE Best® sub into a tasty beverage, win win.

What is it with people (okay 20 somethings) always walking around sucking on some big juicy looking drink. Are they that hungry all the time?

Its "trendy" apparantly...

Ya know this liquiteria is looking more and more predatory.

I will watch with glee at their inevitable finacial collapse

I've been to Liquiteria two times. The first time they handed me the wrong drink then screamed at me for taking a sip of it. The second time, the manager chased me down the street to accuse me of stealing a cookie.

Yummy, "food" for anorexic A-type narcissists.

I am very proud of the success of this long-time neighborhood "mom & pop" which I love, but I am concerned about this rapid expansion. Have they been stockpiling their money all this time? Do they have other investors? I hope they succeed.

They are no longer a mom and pop and seem to be hoing after longtime business's leases while seeling 10 dollar juices to the very people that a ruining this city.

Mom and pop my ass.

I live above the original. Liquiteria was started by Doug Green and since he moved on, after getting screwed by the CEO of Starbucks, things have been very different. The people who own now have much different plans for it than Doug did....

wow, would everyone one here be happier if it was a Liquiteria closing and a Blimpie moving in?
