The 6th & B Garden plant and bake sale continues today

Day 2 of the garden's annual plant and bake sale continues today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. ... on the southwest corner of Avenue B and East Sixth Street...

As a garden rep told us, "It's our main fundraiser for the season and allows us to put on hundreds of free events throughout the season for the community."

I hope they use some of the money raised to remove that unsightly tree stump. Their refusal to do this plus their proprietary attitude is why I don't join this garden. Their attitude is the polar opposite of that of the members of the Creative Little Garden on 6th St.

OH NO!! a TREE STUMP????? In a GARDEN?? boy, that IS a good reason for you not to join! Scary stuff! And, yes, we all know they are raking in the BIG BUCKS with their proprietary attitude. It's all champagne and caviar at the garden! Grow up.

6B Garden is one of the good gardens that really engages the neighborhoods, along with Siempre Verde and La Plaza Cultural.

Anon, this is so funny. A little garden cat fight? Everyone taking care of the gardens is dope and respected for it, who gives a fuck about the tree stump, I think the tree stump is cool. A natural thing. You won't join a garden because of a tree stump? What a freak!

Scored some excellent plants and flowers that would have cost me way more had I bought them @ Union Sq. or Home Depot, or one of the very few remaining outlets.

I loved that great old tree while it stood, and love its reminiscence, that will surely become more!
