— FindSugarNYC (@FindSugarNYC) February 25, 2015East Village resident Morgan Bogle has filed a new lawsuit claiming that her dog walker traded Sugar, her Amstaff/pit bull mix, in exchange for drugs, the Post reports today.
Here's what she alleges against dog walker Tommy Doerr in court papers, as reported by the Post:
Doerr, 46, was “detained by the police who had allegedly searched him and found him in possession of a controlled substance, believed to be PCP,” Bogle claims in court papers.
She “has also been told . . . that [Doerr] ‘traded’ Sugar to some drug dealers in return for PCP or sold Sugar in order to obtain money to buy drugs,” court papers state. “Morgan believes that her best friend and beloved pet was sold by Doerr to be used in connection with dog-fighting or traded for controlled substances.”
Doerr's lawyer responded:
“I can tell you there was a drug intake [at the hospital] and it was completely negative, which proves that any allegation that he was on any kind of drugs is completely false,” attorney Mel Ginsburg told The Post.
“There’s a lot of completely false allegations being made about this case,” Ginsburg said. “Nobody’s going to fake going into the hospital. There’s no intent here.”

The dog walker has countersued Bogle, accusing her of defamation because of the “false” drug allegations. Doerr also claims a pet detective hired by Bogle treated him “in a most abusive and intimidating manner” and told Doerr he should kill himself, according to court papers.
The 4-year-old Sugar went missing on Feb. 23 under mysterious circumstances.
Doerr, who had been with Sugar for three years, previously said that he didn't remember what happened to the dog.

Well for fuck's sake somebody is responsible here and I hope to God he or she or it is brought to light.
I sincerely hope that Morgan Bogle finds out what exactly happened to her dog. I can't even imagine the heartbreak and anger she must feel over this awful situation. I am very suspicious of the dog walker namely because he wouldn't communicate with Bogle directly and he lawyered up so fast. This is someone she knew and trusted for three years. If he really can't remember and legitimately suffered a psychotic break then why did he have drugs on him and why wouldn't he be more apologetic and sympathetic towards his client? Not to mention, after walking Sugar for three years, didn't he form a bond with her? It is such a heartbreaking situation.
Sounds like the dog walker wasn't, ahem, vetted before being hired.

So no matter what the circumstances, a pet sitter can somehow lose possession of a pet in his or her care and not be charged with anything? Are there no regulations regarding pet sitters in New York City or on the state level? How can this man get away with this?
The dogwalker lives near several well known drug spots run by a few local gangs who also happen to own pit buls. Start looking at Strauss Houses, they hang out in front of the deli on the corner of 28th St and 2nd Ave, and also on 1st Ave and 27th St. Someone there will probably know what happened to this dog.
Yet Doerr STILL won't admit what he did with Sugar? How does one "not remember" losing a dog? Sue him TWICE!
Sounds like two-bit attorney. Guy can barely string together a coherent sentence. "There was a drug intake at the hospital and it was completely negative." How can an intake be negative? Drug test?

Wake up people. The NYPD has CONFIRMED that there were no drugs found on him, in his apartment or IN him. Bogle AND her lawyer were provided the documentation from the hospital showing there were NO DRUGS involved. If any drugs were involved at all, anywhere, there would have been a criminal investigation from the beginning. There isn't even a file on this case with the NYPD because there were no drugs involved. That has been confirmed. Stop with the drama. This isn't Law and Order folks. It is a lost dog. The dog walker is not a drug addict and would never sell or trade Sugar to anyone for any amount of money. She continues to repeat these lies in order to get more press coverage for her story and it is sad. She is white trash. Sadly, the dog walker was forced to retain a lawyer because of the POS "friends" of Bogle came into the hospital within HOURS of him being admitted and threatened him. She she should be ashamed of herself for continuing to lie like this.It is sick.
@5:55PM: Whatever the case with the drugs or not, he is the one responsible for her dog being gone. I don't know anyone involved but it seems inappropriate to trash her here. She deserves some answers, he hasn't provided them apparently, and she seems to be doing what she can to get some information. Why call her a sick white trash liar? What should she be doing, in your opinion?
I am guessing Anonymous 5:55 is none other than Tommy Doerr. Who else would so vehemently defend a miserable waste of skin that managed to "LOSE" THE DOG ENTRUSTED TO HIM except the perpetrator himself? Mr. Doerr, when Karma comes for you, I hope she is swift and merciless. You deserve no less.

Dear waste of skin poster: as exciting and dramatic as it would be, unfortunately no, I am not the dog walker. And as exciting and dramatic as it might be if the dog walker really was a drug addict and traded the dog for PCP, that just isn't the case. The dog walker isn't a drug addict and no drugs were involved. Makes it a lot less exciting and certainly she couldn't have gotten the press she did, had she not made that up. What news source would cover a boring story? Most people don't understand the difference between a criminal case and a civil case. There is no criminal case here. Any drug involvement at all would have been an immediate criminal investigation. Contrary to her "story" he was never detained by the police because there was nothing to investigate. Unfortunately, there are facts here that many don't know, and they make assumptions. Sadly, she knows much of this, but chooses to continue to lie. So, so sad. She certainly has a "great" PR gal!!
