Workers removed the plywood yesterday here on Avenue A and St. Mark's Place...

A Starbucks rep told DNAinfo last month that this location will be open later this summer.

Now just put a Linksys next to that VIP toilet, being a chair or a sofa, grab a coffee from the bodega and you get the wifi and toilet exoerience that one loves about Starbucks.

Thank God for all the independent coffee shops with good coffee in the area.

Only cornballs will go here.
Mad local spots.
What would be the reason to go here?

I hate Starbucks. But it's about jobs. And I'm sure plenty of our locals are lining up.

So that's it for the East Village ? A neighborhood that had so much character with small coffee joints...now serving that same cup of coffee like everywhere else in the world...

I'll defend starbucks. They tend to pay better and offer benefits that the so called independent coffee cafes do not. For those who like to talk about the worker, remeber that when you step into your next coffee shop
