David Lynch also loves Rear Window.

There's such a coziness with James Stewart in one room, and it's such a cool room, and the people who come into this room-Grace Kelly, for instance, and Thelma Ritter--it's just so fantastic that they're all in on a mystery that's unfolding out their window. It's magical and everybody who sees it feels that. It's so nice to go back and visit that place.

From his excellent Catching the Big Fish.

Peeping Tom, Yeh! Replace Peeping Tom's 16 mm movie camera with a cellphone and it's 2016!

This is a movie, like Sunset Boulevard and The Seven Year Itch, that even if I think I'm not in the mood to watch it, or I don't have the time to watch it right now, all I have to do is glance at the screen for a moment and I'm drawn in. And then afterwards I'm rather tickled with myself that I watched it again.

Anyone heard about the remake of Psycho by the makers of the new Ghostbusters remake?

It's gonna be titled Psycha and star a female actor as Norma Bates who dresses up like her dead father ("Father")?
