OMG, like where am I suppose to get my pumpkin spice caramel latte's now?
I’m not sure what this means, but when I looked inside earlier today, the employees were just peelin’ potatoes.
@GiovanniThey're making potato batteries with electrical wires.
13th Street and 1st Avenue.
Grieve, wire you making such bad puns?!? This is current events!
With Starbucks ending the sale of newspapers in September, and with the continued iffiness of Gem Spa, those of us who like to hold the physical object, and perhaps clip an article to save or send on to a friend are facing a grim future. I guess there just isn't any money to be made from selling newspapers. Sad--particularly when we need the investigative arm of newspapers more than ever.
All these landlords are luring tenants to their "renovated" buildings, but the electric and plumbing is never fully modernized.
I dont believe its electrical. I think it's not enough business. Kids have a cup of coffee and take residence for the rest of the day with their laptops.
I patronized this Starbucks on Wednesday. The A/C was completely out and it was insufferable. Usually, it is packed inside. It was virtually empty. I bought a treat and an iced tea ( I am not one of those lingering pests who doesn't purchase anything and just sit around for endless hours btw) and worked on my laptop for a bit. A guy with a tool belt entered the premises, went behind the counter and reached for a ladder. I am assuming he was present to repair the air conditioner? Perhaps this problem has continued? I hope for the sake of the staff and customers that this problem is resolved rather soon. And for the record, I am quite fond of this particular location. It has an open feel, there are outlets beneath the table, and the baristas are professional and kind.
