News about the East Village of NYC
great shot.
It's pretty amazing that the person at the bottom/left was able to get so close.
anon at 8:50 - telephotic lens compression will do that.I-)
You made my day! I can now go out and soar against the wind chill like a hawk.
Anon 8:50: Likely a long, professional lens.
I think the hawk is deaf, and didn't hear the guy coming up behind it. A bird doctor should check them out.
Does anyone know what happened to his 3 kids? Are they still in the hood or have they moved to Long Island of something?
one of the kids went upstate to college, and the other two are in billyburg or chi-town, i forget which.I-)
That bird is frozen solid. Good news for the rats if they weren't ice cubes, too.
One of the hawks (Christo...Dora... offspring ... outside agitator?) has been hanging out in the little private garden on St. Mark's Church's west side. Hunting, eating, standing proudly like this beauty.
