The B Bar's Urban Etiquette Sign about their neighbor's trash

A rather amused EVG reader on the Bowery points us to this sign on the building next door to the B Bar.

To the tenants of this building
Please only put your garbage out on the days it is scheduled to be picked up. Do not put your garbage out over the weekend … The garbage on the street is unsightly and unsanitary.

Stern, but a reasonable enough request! Maybe!

The reader then pointed out the B Bar's own unsightly mound of garbage bags yesterday morning near East Fourth Street waiting for private pickup…

This is actually a very serious problem in general in the city. There should be stricter regulation/enforcement about trash. The narrow sidewalks of the Village in particular become even more difficult to navigate past mountains of trash bags, not to mention the frequent Summer Rat Surprise while walking by said mountains.

That's fine.

B Bar and their patrons have made the corner of Bowery and 4th street an "avoid at all costs" area every thurs, fri, sat, and sometimes sunday nights. If they want to be reciprocal good neighbors, get a bunch of security people on the sidewalk to contain and quiet their overspill of rowdy, drunk patrons. Also, a couple of folks to clean up the mess they leave.

I dig the irony, though.
