The free films return to the Park for the month of July … and according to the organizers, this year's lineup was hand selected by Matthew Broderick, Christie Brinkley, Billy Joel and James Franco.
The series starts tomorrow night with "Dog Day Afternoon."
You may arrive at 6 for the free film, which starts at sundown. The band City of the Sun will play a set before the movie.

Chinatown has the scene that sums up REBNY, the Bro/OMG/Woo sense of entitlement and the whole 1% culture that is well on its way to destroying this hood and this city:
Jake Gittes: How much are you worth?
Noah Cross: I have no idea. How much do you want?
Jake Gittes: I just wanna know what you're worth. More than 10 million?
Noah Cross: Oh my, yes!
Jake Gittes: Why are you doing it? How much better can you eat? What could you buy that you can't already afford?

While Chinatown is one of the greatest movies of the past 50 years, I don't think the Noah Cross (William Mulholland) character draws much of a line to the "Bro/OMG/Woos". We're talking more Robert Moses.
Or Jane Jacobs. Man I wish she were part of my generation.
But aside from that I love this movie, wish I had the time tonight. Funny, when I worked for AP, I mentioned this film, he gave me a half smile and nodded. Completely didn't remember.
