The McDonald's at 404 E. 14th St. near First Avenue closed back on July 2 for an interior-exterior renovation combo... and yesterday, a new McDonald's sign arrived ... EVG regular Greg Masters shared these photos...
This McDonald's was expected to reopen sometime today...

Not sure of the extent of the makeover inside just yet. The McDonald's on Essex and Delancey reopened in April after a five-month renovation. Changes there included the arrival of digital self-order kiosks, table service and mobile ordering.
Perhaps the renovation will help boost those Yelp reviews here. Some one-star Yelpers state that this is among the worst McDonald's in the city.

Will "Ramon" still hold court there? Inquiring minds want to know.
A new paint job and new signage will not change their poor yelp rating. All they did was waste money on renovation, as the homeless and junkies will still hangout here. 14th and 1st ave is a sad sight.
The website says this location doesn't include "dine in", so it's take out only?
Yuck. Too bad it didn't close permanently.
Dumpling shops will come and go, specialty dessert shops will come and go, but the golden arches are here to stay.

Yes, they still have tables, and they were all occupied with hungry burger munchers today. And unlike every other spot around here, they don’t have dumplings. You want fries with that?
