As we noted a few weeks ago, the
D.L. Cerney boutique was opening a new storefront for its hand-made, vintage-style clothes at 324 E. Ninth St. between First Avenue and Second Avenue.
EVG correspondent Steven caught up with co-owner Linda St. John yesterday outside the now-open shop.
St. John closed her previous location on Seventh Street at the end of 2012 after 28 years in business ... to leave the city for awhile and
focus on her art and writing.
Her hours are noon to 8 p.m.

This is what 9th St should be! No more threading salons, etc., but creative and unique souls. Welcome back to D.L. Cerney! And if not a display of her miniature dolls, I hope to see more of her art on display- and the clothes, of course.
Oops! Welcome back to D. L. Cerney and Linda St John!!
Well in record time the creative and unique souls across the street at Juice Go are now Juice Gone. Sadly we called it here. Here's hoping DLC makes a go of it and indeed starts a trend.
The owner of JuiceGo died last week... not sure when/if the shop will open. I'll have a post on it tomorrow.
Oh my, how sad. Apologies for insensitive jump to wrong conclusion!
So happy to see DL Cerney bucking trends and reopening in the East Village. The owners are delightful and the clothes are something really special.
Fantastic! They're back!
I still have shirts I bought there on East 7th Street 20 years ago…
and they're still looking great!
