The truth is out there

EVG reader Brian Polay spotted yet another variation of the guy-looking-for-a-girlfriend flyer... this one featuring FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner from "The X-Files" looking for a Dana Scully. Must love science too?

These particular flyers were spotted on East Ninth Street and Second Avenue. Actually on the street.

This is great. When I first saw the "actor" fliers, I swore it was Skinner looking for work.

I believe I spotted this man on St Marks this weekend with what appeared was his father (looked alike) and another person, I think he was looking for a place to brunch.

I saw him posting flyers on 11th Street and 2nd Ave yesterday. He looked the same as in the photos except for a tan. The flyers were of the 1st edition type.

Gingers preferred. Bleeding from the nose a plus.

Stop helping to promote this obnoxious attention seeking anus.

12:47- what if we like giving attention and don't care what you think? then what do we do?

I agree with 12:47. Screw this tool. Stop promoting him.

This guy is actually doing something a little fun around our neighborhood. It's enjoyable seeing a new ad up every couple of days. Sure it's getting old, but I invite the creativity. No reason to be against the lighthearted notes. Right?

What a waste of trees!

Completely agree... I'm looking forward to more parodies too. It's goofy, but let it be.

Man people bitch about a few fliers on lamp post while praising assholes that tag private property?

I would like to see the sanitation cops, who cover the waterfront complete with sidearms hassling building owners with tickets if some wino has gone thru the trash and left it incorrectly arranged, shut this jerk down. I don't need to see his compulsive littering all over my street.
I don't find his mess amusing in any way. Glad some of you are enjoying him though, maybe this creep really is a genius conceptual artist and is just way above my head.

Yeah right.

At his point, this guy is getting major publicity because of the constant attention on EV Grieve. No offense but I only found it interesting the first time they were written about.

There is clearly a commercial agenda behind this, and I suggest it might be more interesting if the next time he is written about is with the scoop on what is actually behind all of this, and what this agenda is, rather than just reporting each time he puts up a new flyer.

As I mentioned before, these flyers were also seen in the Bay Area, by a friend, who took them completely seriously and had no idea about the saturation in NY.

I happened to see this guy putting up his posters on Ave A yesterday. He looks like a shorter, much seedier George Costanza, a real "schlump" as my mother would say. Not to mention unemployed, well good luck on that girlfriend thing.
He did have a tan though, I guess that is the upside of spending your days outside the way he does.

Has anyone called the number? Maybe one of these days when I'm a bit tipsy I'll give it a go.

Haven't paid any attention to this till now. Not appreciative of him sullying Scully's good name. Skinner? Could care less.

Am thinking of putting up flyers of Mr. Clean looking for Mrs. Clean; or The Rock looking for his Rockette; or Capt. Jean-Luc Picard looking to baldly go where no EV-er is willing to go before or ever; or Jeff Bezos looking for someone to land his drone; or The Dalai Lama in search of The Lay Me and reincarnaltion, but I ain't got no time for that. Am relinquishing all intellectual properties for anyone who'll do these.
