We will cherish and appreciate those colors the park, river and 3rd Ave bring the neighborhood.

We will accept the changes for better or worse that Autumn brings to the the Lower East Side, East Village, ABCity or wherever we live.

We will sigh and roll our eyes at those wearing inappropriate clothing during weather in the 60s, 50s, 40s and, without fail; below.

We will continue to goto our favorite hole. There are too many to name one nor any judgment to be laid for yours.

We will avoid certain places, we will attend others.

We will be better, we will be worse.

Autumn.

Thanks for a great summer Grieve, one that was again full of too many of our favorite stores closing down, including Rodeo Bar, Bowlmor Lanes, Plantworks, Shakepeare & Co, St Marks Books (I know it just moved, but still), Mars Bar turned into a TD Bank, Stromboli Pizza, Archie & Sons Diner, the uptown Lucky Cheng's, Snack Dragon, 56 year old C'est Magnifique, Japadog, and of course Kim's Video. These are all illustrations of the mathematical rule which most of us learned in first grade that less is not more.

The good news? NYU students are back and there's only 102 beer-binging, roof-raging, woo-hooing days left until SantaCon.

Damn it...I hate the end of summer!!!!!!! Goes by much too fast. Yuck..the months of January thru March. Why? WHY?

Bring on summer 2015, and not a day too soon!

This was nice, thanks.

Wonderful summary (summery?), but damn, it went fast. Both the summer AND the summer-y.

It's not all bad. It's also the end of flip flops, sweat, sunblock, summer tourism. Summer is cause for celebration, if you are a fucking student. The rest of us have plenty to look forward to as the year rolls on.
