Elite New York Sports Club now open on Astor Place
The new Elite brand of gym by New York Sports Clubs is up and running on Astor Place... this is the current pricing via this location's website... $120 a month without a commitment... $110 a month with a one-year commitment...
Press materials note that the new location at 4 Astor Place "will feature several new programs and will also boast Rogue rigs, Woodway treadmills, lifting platforms and expanded training zones."
This four-level spot was, until December, a David Barton Gym. This location as well as the three others in Manhattan abruptly closed last December.

Blink $ 25.00 per month.
"Elite" - ha, sure you are! Suckers, line up right here to fork over your money and feel important.
The rampant narcissism places like this try to appeal to knows no bounds.
Bring back Gladiator Gym, with their homemade but eminently serviceable equipment and wonderful window paintings.
They could just properly maintain the equipment at their other locations...
This kills me:
You can count on: Access to locker rooms
You know who else can count on access to locker rooms? Pickpockets and Thieves. A wise man once said," Whenever working out in a New York City gym, remember to leave the Rolex at home." The higher the membership fees, the better the pickings are for the thieves in the locker rooms. Remember to never trust these Sports Clubs to protect your valuables, their locker rooms are like a Candy Store waiting to be looted, often by current or former employees who know how lax security really is. And never prepay for memberships, because when these places close down -- and they always do -- they force the members and employees to chase down their money. NYSC is obviously counting on this location to lure in the same kind of suckers who got burned by David Barton when they closed down. My bet is they picked the right location.
I wonder how much rent is if one wanted to move into the locker room? It sounds so accessible!
Someone could make TONS on an unfuckwithable gym locker lock.
Good, now they can close the one on Avenue A since these desperate losers can't make it work - littering every street sign and bus stop with their illegal advertising every week for a "special deal". Ruined the facade of that great Gracefully building and turned it into a Lego for their FAILING chain business. Wrong hood, amigos!
