[RESCHEDULED] Free tonight in Tompkins Square Park: 'Romeo + Juliet'
Tonight's free film in Tompkins Square Park is the 1996 version of "Romeo + Juliet" with Claire Danes and Leonard DiCaprio.
Tonight's free film is also the last one of the six-week summer series. (And not one rain out, though there is a chance of thundershowers tonight.)
The Grand Finale this evening includes a food fair starting at 5 with vendors from the Eastville Restaurant Collective, which, according to the posters, includes GG's, Boulton & Watt and Huerta's.
There's also pre-movie music via the reggae-influenced rock of Faith.
Check the Films in Tompkins Facebook page for any updates on tonight's screening.
Updated 11:30 a.m.
Given the threat of rain tonight, the screening has been postponed until next Thursday, Aug. 18. The food fare will run between 5-9 p.m.

Faith? Uhhh change your fucking name cuz there was an old DC hardcore punk band called The Faith.
Google: It's Your Best Friend
That movie was abominable.
Faith is terrific and doesn't need to change their name. Yo!
Love this movie. (my boy, leguizamo)
Yeah they do need to change it cuz they look like dumbasses for calling themselves Faith. The Faith had a record on Dischord Records (a split LP with Void.) You know, one of the biggest, most influential indie record labels in the world, Fugazi, Minor Threat, SOA which featured Henry Rollins (then Henry Garfield) of Black Flag and Rollins Band. Scream which featured Dave Grohl pre-Nirvana among other known bands.
'Just cuz Faith is too lazy to check to see if "their" name is taken doesn't mean they shouldn't catch shit for it. They're cornballs for calling themselves by the name, deal with that. Yo!
It's time to rename this day of the week Rainday.
Faith No More is way to close of a name to The Faith.
And don't even get me started on Queens of the Stone Age... Or Rage...
Bummed that the Eastville Restaurant Collective does not include Westville East.
...by that logic, Void ought to change its name too. You know why.
