Lock your doors, people! And don't buzz anyone in if you're not expecting them.

I confronted a guy in my entry claiming to be ConEd who wanted access to the basement. When I told him to call the super, he became angry and belligerent. A legit service person would not do that. Gotta be vigilant.

I'm confused... is it "Lock your doors!" or "Open borders!"?

Please tell me what to think!

9:58: in NYC, that is just as common sense! if I am out of sight of the door, it gets locked. There is a whole industry of scumbags in this country whose work is walking around testing doors to see if they're unlocked. They exist in the burbs too, they wander through back yards checking doors and windows. This society is way to easy on scumbags.

@10:52am: Agree: if I'm out of sight of my door, I always LOCK IT. Yet this common-sense advice falls on the deaf ears of the (I suspect) cool young things who pay so much rent that they figure the place MUST be safe!
