Wonderful photo. I would also like to suggest that people interested in an earlier view of the East Village art and theater scene with an emphasis on members of the LGBTQ community visit the Peter Hujar exhibition, Peter Hujar: Speed of Life at the Morgan Library (until May 20th). I know the Morgan is expensive, I am not sure if they have a free evening. Those interested in David Wojnarowicz, Ethel Eichelberger, Paul Thek, Susan Sontag, Gary Indiana, Cookie Mueller, the Cockettes, Blue Lips, and Sheyla Bykel who produced the Palm Casino Review, will find superbly printed (by Peter) images to call up memories of people and events. Three decades after Peter's death his work is being widely appreciated (reviews in The New Yorker and Wall Street Journal). A sign of the importance of this exhibition? Agosto Machado was at the reception on Thursday night.
